501 North Main

Roy Cawyer Texaco ad, 1967

Roy Cawyer Texaco opened here in 1960, and this was the only ad he placed in the paper.

Burtrum Motors announces their new building at 521 N Main, 1948

In 1948, Burtrum Motors built a beautiful new Art Deco building here and moved his business here from 107-109 East Central. The interior featured a mural by renowned Miami artist Bronson Edwards.

However, just ten years later, he sold out to Kissee Ford and moved across the street.

KIssee Ford remained here until at least 1969.
