East and West A Streets

1st block of SE A, 1921

In 1961, the Urban Renewal Authority was established in Miami. Aimed at revitalizing downtown, it actually only succeeded in creating vast parking lots. While North Main had many edifices condemned and removed, the two hardest-hit streets were East and West A Streets.
