721 N Main

721 N Main (approximately)

The crazy numbering between 600 North Main and 9th (BJ Tunnell) make locating some businesses tricky. In 1947, Burtrum Motors announced they had come to town at 721 N Main. They soon relocated to 107-109 East Central, and began construction of a beautiful new building here. I’m guessing that the first temporary lot was at the location pictured above.

The 1967 phone book lists Ernie’s Radiator Shop at 701 N Main. Not sure where that one is, either.
