Savoy Hotel Central and NE A 1916 Building "Replaced the two-story Moore Hotel. Demo began in 1908, presumably this was completed by 1909. Building was empty by 1937, was demolished in 1938." NOTE: this was from an article in the News-Record written shortly after demolishing the structure. In fact, the Moore Hotel was still running in 1913, when it was purchased by A.T. Fariss. It was still the Moore in 1915. The Miami Record-Herald announced the Savoy on January 23, 1916. In late 1916, a 28 room addition was built.

Cardin Building 1 S Main 1917 Building Eight stories were planned, a shortage of material limited it to five. The foundation was poured strong enough to handle ten. Miami Record-Herald.
Tidwell Building 13-17 E Central 1917 Building Frayser-Fullerton-Tidwell Building. Ran from the alley on the east side of Central to the Savoy Hotel, which sat at Central and NE A. The Tidwell was still occupied as late as 1967, it was demolished some time after.
